Will the real high season please stand up!

OK, so we had the false start to the high season with 2 weeks of great weather here in Phuket during October. But things have been rather grey and wet for the last week. I am sure there has been some sun, but I have not seen a clear blue sky for a week now. How sad :(

Today has been OK I guess, there was some brief rain, but it's been OK for diving, not too much wind. The forecast on Windguru looks wet and windy for the middle and end of next week. The final kick of the low season? I do hope so!

Yesterday was all grey skies. Rain in the morning. Guess that day trip to Khao Lak will have to wait. Ah well, at least Phuket has plenty of shops! We skipped Tesco Lotus for shopping. Normally we shop there for groceries (Tesco Lotus is only about 4 minutes from our house), but I am sorry Tesco... if you really must sell SHARK FIN, you will be missing some customers. Bad show, really, shame on you Tesco.

We went shopping at Big C, about 5 minutes from our house.

The afternoon was still grey, but we took ourselves to Bang Wad Reservoir for a little walk and fresh air. There are always people there walking and jogging or having a little picnic by the reservoir.
