The days are getting longer in Phuket

Yes, even in Phuket we notice the days getting longer. During March 2008, according to this Sunrise and Sunset calculator, every day is 26 seconds longer than the next here in Phuket. Today the day is 12 hours and 50 seconds long, tomorrow we'll have 12 hours, 1 minute and 16 seconds. The longest day will be around 21st June, when the day will be 12 hours, 35 minutes and 23 seconds long. The shortest day will be December 21st, with the day just 11 hours 39 minutes and 37 seconds long. So almost an hour between the shortest and longest days in Phuket.

Back home in England... there is a huge difference between summer and winter. We don't have those seasons here in Phuket. In London the longest day is a staggering 16 hours, 38 minutes 23 seconds with the sunset not until 9:22pm. The shortest day a mind numbing 7 hours 49 minutes 40 seconds between sunrise and sunset. The sun sinks before 4pm. Those winter days can get to you. I remember going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. On the other hand the long summer evenings are great. Gotta take the rough with the smooth.

So whats the weather doing here in Phuket...? Warm, mostly sunny, a bit hazy, light winds, quite nice actually. Unfortunately, poor Jamie is a bit under the weather. Last night I had a slight fever, a terrible sore throat and headache, drank 2 cups of lemon tea and slept at 8 o'clock. Poor me. Hopefully tomorrow will continue with the beautiful weather so we can go to the beach with the kids.
