April 7th - Heat and Thunder

Today was a real scorcher. Thankfully we hit the pool early, but I still managed red shoulders and the kids got red faces. We like to use the pool at "Land and House Park", a large housing development near Chalong. Lovely pool with lots of shallow areas for the kids. We then hit a local noodle shop for lunch, had a siesta in the afternoon heat and headed out to Cape Panwa..first to Khao Khad Viewpoint (see photo below), then for food at The Beach Bar. The sun was shining, the sunset was orange, and a nice breeze was blowing to keep the evening air cool.

In the evening we had a kids birthday party at a friend's house. Just as we arrived, the rain started, then the thunder kicked in and the heavens opened for 30 minutes. The ideal cooling end for a hot, hot day.
